Newcastle United must go to £6 million to land Bastia midfielder Florian Thauvin.
The Daly Mail says Arsenal have also contacted Bastia about the highly-rated prospect but Newcastle manager Alan Pardew reportedly had a £3million bid rejected for Thauvin, who is gaining more and more interest from Premier League clubs.
According to reports in France, Bastia President Pierre-Marie Geronimi has written to both clubs to tell them they must cough up at least £6million if they are to tempt them into selling the 20-year-old.
Thauvin will most likely stay in France until the end of the season as both Arsenal and Newcastle are unwilling to spend that much on him at this stage.
