Newcastle United have announced the addition of Graeme Jones to their coaching staff.
Newcastle have confirmed the appointment of Jones as Steve Bruce's third assistant manager. Jones had been a coach at Bournemouth.
Newcastle were granted permission to speak with Jones last weekend and have paid £250,000 in compensation to bring him to St James' Park.
Jones will work alongside Stephen Clemence and Steve Agnew, who have been in place as assistant coaches since Bruce was appointed manager in July 2019.
Jones, who was Luton manager from May 2019 to April last year, joins the coaching staff with Newcastle 16th in the Premier League table.
Jones, a boyhood Newcastle supporter, said he was "proud" to get the job, adding that he now has a chance to help the club move back up the table.
Bruce added: "I'm delighted to welcome Graeme on board. He is vastly experienced and I could tell speaking to him that he is hugely passionate about the club and very keen to join us.
"He is from here but has been away for 35 years so the opportunity to come in and give us a hand is one he has jumped at."
