Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are currently discussing a shock loan move for Pape Souare according to reports from the Croydon Advertiser.

Souare has not featured on a regular basis for Palace after being involved in a horrific car crash last year which left him with a broken leg.

The full-back has returned to full fitness this season though and according to reports, he could be set for a shock loan move to Tyneside as the Magpies look to bolster their defensive ranks.
