An own-goal from Newcastle defender James Perch has handed Stoke City a vital away win in the Premier League.
The Magpies drew first blood when Kevin Nolan converted a 43rd minute penalty to give his side a well-earned lead but the Potters fought back to equalise through Kenwyne Jones who headed home from point-blank range in the 67th minute.
The match was headed for a draw until Perch's header rocketed past Newcastle keeper Tim Krul and into the back of the net, handing all three points to the visitors.
