​New York Red Bulls Wright-Phillips nominated for MLS Most Valuable Player award

Bradley Wright-Phillips has been shortlisted for this season's MLS Most Valuable Player award.

The former Charlton, Plymouth, Southampton and Manchester City striker is on a three-man list with New York Red Bulls team-mate Sacha Kljestan and New York City FC star David Villa.

Villa's team-mate Frank Lampard has been nominated for the Comeback Player of the Year Ward after netting 12 goals and three assists.

Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira is in the running for Coach of the Year, while City's Stoke-born winger Jack Harrison is up for Rookie of the Year.
