New York City FC coach Vieira open to Serie A move

New York City FC coach Patrick Vieira admits working in Italy is an ambition.

Vieira is in Naples this week as a guest of Napoli.

“Sarri works in such a great way and I love to watch Napoli play. They have a great collective and quality football, but undoubtedly something is missing when they are without a key player or two," Vieira told Sky Sport Italia.

Juventus have the experience of how to win and that always makes the difference, while Inter can lose one or two players and more or less remain at the same level.

“I think any of these three clubs could win the Scudetto this season. I like seeing Gennaro Gattuso at the helm of Milan, but also Simone Inzaghi at Lazio, as this new generation of Italian tacticians can bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas.

“I would love to work as a Coach in Italy, as this country has such passion for football. It's a disaster for Italy not to be at the 2018 World Cup."
