New South Korea boss identifies speed as main weapon

Recently appointed South Korea manager Cho Kwang-rae identifies speed as his side's major weapon ahead of tonight's international friendly against Nigeria.

The former Gyeongnam boss will oversee his first Taeguk Warriors match at the Suwon World Cup Stadium against the Super Eagles and wants his players to exploit the Africans will their pace.

"Speed is the most crucial factor in today's football," Cho said.

"Under my command, all of my boys should go for both offense and defence, who otherwise will not get along with me so well.

"The defenders should go forward to create the space suitable for defence. Such tactics can be applied to the attackers as well."

Reports emanating from Korea indicate that Cho will play with a different formation to what the team is used to, adopting a likely 3-4-3 approach with captain Park Ji-sung set to be deployed in a striker support role.
