New signings will soon realise how big Liverpool is - Lucas Leiva

Liverpool veteran Lucas Leiva believes his side's new recruits will quickly understand how big their new club is during the Reds' upcoming pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.

Liverpool has been active in the transfer window thus far, having signed Lucas' countryman Roberto Firmino, as well as English quartet Danny Ings, Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner and Joe Gomez.

Lucas believes the new boys will understand what Liverpool is all about during the Merseyside club's tour of Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.

"We still have a few days to go but over there they will have an idea about what Liverpool is about," Lucas told Liverpoolfc.com.

"They know a lot but when you travel so far away from Liverpool and get that reception they will realise how big this club is and as I said hopefully they will settle very quickly.

"It just makes you realise how big the club is in terms of the amount of fans and anywhere in the world you go you get a good reception".

Liverpool kick off their pre-season campaign with a match against a Thai Premier League all-star team in Bangkok, before fixtures against Australian sides Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United, and a select Malaysian XI.
