New Romford owner and manager Tamplin snaps up ex-Liverpool striker Morgan

New Romford owner and manager Glenn Tamplin has snapped up former Liverpool striker Adam Morgan.

Morgan, 25, turned out in the Europa League under Brendan Rodgers in 2012 but joined BetVictor North West Division outfit Widnes in late-October after spells with Yeovil Town, Halifax and Mossley.

"I wasn't looking at the levels of Adam because of the league I'm going into," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"Basically, what happens is I get a lot of agents ringing me because they think they can earn a lot of money out of me very quickly. A lot of agents ring me for the wrong reasons and a lot of agents ring me for the right reasons.

"But basically, when an Adam Morgan name comes up it would be too much money so to all the agents I was saying 'Not interested, not interested, not interested.

"So what I try and do is help people. People talk a lot of nonsense about me and say 'Oh, he's bought Adam Morgan.' I haven't. I've spoken to Adam, I've given him a full-time job at one of my businesses and I've given him a part-time job playing for my club."
