New Real Madrid goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has no doubts about the quality of Paul Pogba.

The Manchester United midfielder continues to be linked with Real ahead of the January market.

Areola is close to France teammate Pogba and was asked about the World Cup winner at his presentation yesterday.

The on-loan PSG keeper said: "Pogba? I did not speak to him because he was injured at the last rally (of the France team).

"I've known him very well since he was 16 years old. He's always been my captain, he's a great person with a lot of qualities. Everyone makes his way and writes his story."
