Paul Dickov has promised to give Oldham's youngsters a fair crack at first-team football. The new Latics boss understands the importance of bringing through young players and will ensure emerging talent is given a chance to shine at Boundary Park.
He told the official club website: "There are a lot of good youngsters here and I want to get them involved as quickly as I can.
"The youth set up is very important at any club. I won't be scared to give any promising kids a chance while playing them also has a knock-on effect gives a feel-good factor.
"When you get a few youngsters training with the first-team squad, what tends to happen is that it gives the club as a whole a boost."
