New Inter Milan signing Stefano Sensi has welcomed comparisons with Barcelona great Xavi.

Sensi moved to Inter last week from Sassuolo.

"It's as I imagined it," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I'm starting a new life, but it's like I've always been here. My idol has always been Xavi.

“He's like family to me: I grew up watching his games, I took things from his showreels.

“There's something about his kind of football in my game. I've always been a Barcelona fan and I hope I face them in the Champions League.

“I think a winning mentality has been missing, and in that sense Conte can be a turning point. I think Inter have everything to start winning again this season."
