New Getafe coach Michel: Real Madrid job? I don't know the right people - but don't blame Florentino

New Getafe coach Michel says the chance of returning to Real Madrid is remote.

The former Real captain has just taken charge of Getafe after the departure of Jose Bordalas for Valencia.

Asked about the Real Madrid job, Michel was adamant: "To train Real Madrid you need something more than a cv, but you need something called lobbying and I don't have it because I don't have close ties to the people who make those decisions. The people who work close to Florentino (Perez, president) prefer other types of coaches without stopping to think whether or not I have a level. Ancelotti is ready to coach any club.

"My agent is not a friend of any person. I am not influential with the people who make those decisions. And it is not Florentino who makes those decisions, because with him I get along very well. It is impossible to coach Madrid and I do not say it with resentment. That has happened since I was a coach. Many people have not hired me as a Real Madrid player, which I am, and they have not called me from my home either. I am happy coaching Getafe and it's the same challenge as Madrid for Ancelotti.

"The person who manages the lobby does not like me. My name has been on the table at some time, but ... There it is when they removed Lopetegui from the National Team that almost only had me left. I don't have a lobby to get there to certain people. That does not seem like a protest act. Many have trained in Madrid and I have never had the option. I was never very clear about the certainty that others had about me.

"I don't think I'm better or worse than any of those who have trained at Madrid. I have a great time anywhere, but Madrid throws it away."
