New Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri insists he's capable of helping the club beat the drop.

Ranieri revealed he has past experience of saving teams from the drop.

"When I arrived in Parma at the end of the February it was the same," he said.

"All my friends said, 'you are mad to go there, it's not possible to save this team.' And I saved the team. At Cagliari, we went [Serie] C, B, A. I love this kind of battle.

"I came here because I believe. I am mad, but not stupid! I believe I can do this. It's not easy, nothing is easy, but I believe."
