New Fiorentina sporting director Nicolas Burdisso says Nico Gonzalez will prove himself a great addition.

The Argentina winger has signed for Fiorentina from Stuttgart.

Burdisso was impressed by Gonzalez for Argentina's winning Copa America campaign: "Nico Gonzalez was one of the surprises of the tournament.

"He was also immersed in his move to Viola, but remained focused and motivated.

"What does it mean to win the Copa? It's a boost for your career."
