New Everton assistant manager Luis Boa Morte: Many coaches influenced me

New Everton assistant manager Luis Boa Morte admits he's been shaped by all the coaches he's worked with.

As a player who made 296 Premier League appearances he played under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and Jean Tigana at Fulham.

But he also worked alongside managers like World Cup winner Felipe Scolari, Chris Coleman who guided Wales to the semi-finals of the European Championships and Champions League finalist Avram Grant.

In an interview with evertonfc.tv, Boa Morte said: "You always speak with every single manager you work with. I picked up stuff from Jean Tigana definitely, Arsene Wenger, from Chris Coleman, from Steve Clarke and Kevin Keen who used to work with Steve Clarke at West Ham.

"There are a number of managers you pick up from, especially in the Premiership, but abroad I also had Carlos Queiroz, Felipe Scolari, Avram Grant as well.

"If you're smart enough to pick up just a little bit from every single one of them ....

"When I started my coaching journey I still kept in contact with them and asked for tips because this is a job you are learning every single day - about the players and about yourself."
