Lee Nguyen was named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 32 of the 2014 season.
The 28-year old midfielder scored a brace for New England Revolution as they defeated Houston Dynamo 2-1 on Thursday.
The goals, which came in the 65th and 87th minutes, gave the Revs a come-from-behind win after Giles Barnes had earlier put the Dynamo ahead.
Nguyen now has 18 MLS goals this season which has him as a leading candidate to win the MVP award.
He is the first New England player to receive the Player of the Week award in the 2014 campaign.
