New England Revolution head coach Jay Heaps has spoken highly of retiring goalkeeper Matt Reis.
The 38-year old called time on his playing days on Wednesday and former teammate, opponent and coach Heaps was quick to praise him on a stellar 16-year MLS career.
"There's no other word but 'legend,' " said Heaps.
"He literally is retiring a legend, for our organization, for the league. I don't see anyone coming along to replace that. You don't replace that."
