New Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer admits they've considered bringing Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola back to the club.
It was confirmed on Friday that Hans-Dieter Flick will remain in charge of Bayern until at least the winter break, but speculation is continuing regarding who the club's next permanent manager will be.
Hainer said: "The board of directors will try to get the best coach for Bayern Munich.
"When I say the best, it means, on one hand, a coach who we want to have and, on the other, one who is available.
"Pep Guardiola is a great coach but he has a contract with Manchester City."
Bayern sacked Niko Kovac earlier this month following a 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt.
