New Athletic Bilbao sporting director Mikel Gonzalez insists there's no plans to lose Nico Williams.
The striker is with Spain at the World Cup and is being linked with a move away this season.
Gonzalez at his presentation said: "Obviously it is within our priorities to retain all the talent we have, we have been working on them for some time and they are important players for the club and the future project.
“We are more than calm and busy about Nico and those with shorter contracts. Iñaki and the Williams family they are rooted in Bilbao and have a very great feeling of belonging to Athletic. Together we will be able to secure Nico for many years with the club."
Gonzalez was also asked about Manchester United interest for Athletic's Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon.
He added: "He is a first-rate goalkeeper who is demonstrating it at Athletic and now at the World Cup. High-level players are capable of raising the interests of big clubs. We are calm, he has a long contract and there is no news."
