Neville: Man Utd must accept they're not good enough

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes the team is not good enough to match up against the best in Europe.

United were humbled at home by Paris Saint-Germain, losing 2-0 in the first leg of their round of 16 clash.

Now they face elimination from the Champions League, but Neville believes it will allow the team to focus on other competitions. The loss was United's first under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Neville told BBC Radio Five Live: "It was a disappointing defeat on a flat night at Old Trafford, but that is not a reflection on Ole - more a reminder of how far this United team is from being a side that can win the Champions League.

"I thought that after they lost at home to Juventus in October and, although they now have a different manager, as a team they are still in exactly the same place, which is well behind the leading European sides.

"I think we have to accept that United are not good enough, and move on."
