Victory in the Carling Cup last night over Wolves was Manchester United's six consecutive win.
Skipper Gary Neville said afterwards: "Momentum is very important. I think the reason we maybe started sluggishly in the first week was that we weren't quite up to our optimum fitness levels as a group.
"A lot of players hadn't played a lot of games and then you have seen us go away to the internationals. Some of the players stayed back and trained and some players got two more games from the internationals so we came back in a lot better shape after the international break in early September and since then w have done pretty well.
"We are in a lot better moment now where everybody seems to be fit, touch wood, and we've got players who are desperate to play."
