Nathan Ake has defended celebrating his goal for Bournemouth in victory over former club Chelsea last night.
The 22-year-old scored Bournemouth third goal in a shock 3-0 win against the reigning Premier League champions last night and he ran over to the travelling support in celebration.
His actions led to abuse from Chelsea fans, who suggested his response was disrespectful to the club that nurtured him.
Ake took to Instagram in response to the criticism.
“What a game," he said.
“Three goals, clean sheet. Keep it going. Just to clear up, the celebration was nothing against Chelsea, just happy to score for Bournemouth."
