Napoli winger Zielinski hopeful of Liverpool boss Klopp reviving transfer plans

Napoli winger Piotr Zielinski is hopeful of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reviving his long-term transfer interest.

Zielinski remains keen on a move to Liverpool, says La Repubblica.

Napoli are keen to tie Zielinski to a new contract but could look to move him on with an agreement yet to be met and the process described as 'exhausting'.

Klopp praised the midfielder after Napoli's win over Liverpool in September, and the report suggests if the German remains interested in bringing the Pole to Anfield, he would consider his future in Naples.

Speaking in the past of his move from Udinese to Napoli, Zielinski said: “I knew that Liverpool wanted me badly and I knew they would return to the talks as I got that promise in January. It didn't work out for them with Udinese at the end.

“Milan's offer was dependent on the club's takeover by Chinese investors. With Napoli, I knew the coach and lots of the lads from the team. I'm happy I came here.

“I think it is ideal in terms of my football characteristics. I've met plenty of technical players.

"I found myself in Napoli and I feel more confident day by day.“
