Chelsea remain confident of landing Kalidou Koulibaly despite Napoli rejecting another offer.
The Sun is reporting that the Italian club turned down a £42million proposal from the Blues who have been keenly interested in the defender for months.
An additional report in the Evening Standard suggests that Koulibaly is eager to leave the Stadio San Paolo to link up Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
It is understood that Chelsea have offered the 25-year-old Senegal international a five-year deal worth £60,000 per week.
Napoli have reportedly lined up Torino centre-half Nikola Maksimovic as a replacement for Koulibaly who is expected to cost Chelsea in excess of £40m.
