Napoli striker Emanuele Calaio is excited about his chance to play in Serie A this season.
"It's my time to be a key player in a championship," he claimed. "I'm 25 and now I must make the leap of quality because not everyone gets the chance to wear such a prestigious shirt at this age.
Napoli have been relatively quiet in the summer transfer market and start life in Serie A with the skeleton of the side that won promotion and Calaio sees this as a positive factor.
"If you look at sides who have done excellent things in recent years like Chievo and Empoli you can see how keeping the back bone of the old side is an advantage," the Sicilian marksman stressed.
"I want to acquit myself well and reach double figures for goals. If director general Pierpaolo Marino decides to bring in any other quality player to give us a hand he will be greeted warmly."
