Napoli signing Adam Ounas admits he fielded interest from Manchester United before leaving Bordeaux.

Ounas was targeted by United boss Jose Mourinho last season.

He told Corriere dello Sport: "It's true, there have been contacts with my agent, but I prefer not to talk about it.

"Mourinho and Manchester United's interest is inevitably fun, but when I received the call from Napoli last May, I did not doubt for a second.

"I really wanted to be part of that team."
