Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has moved to assure fans over his purchase of Bari.

Some fans fear he'll be distracted.

“My dears, Bari are in the amateur leagues, I could hardly be distracted by Bari," De Laurentiis said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Bari is an entity with great potential that has been mistreated. We'll try.

“As for Napoli, we're the only team that has been in Europe for each of the past nine seasons and, according to a Dutch study, the one that has grown the most in the past few years.

“In Naples they want me to spend billions of Euros for players to appear, but then they wear fake shirts and push the turnstiles to get in.

“They complain about De Laurentiis, but I complain about them."
