Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was disappointed with their team selection for defeat to Juventus.
Napoli thrashed European champions Liverpool 3-0 in a preseason friendly but lost 4-3 to Serie A rivals Juve before the international break.
“Sometimes it's not necessary to respect hierarchies within a team," De Laurentiis told Sky Sport Italia.
“Those who arrived late must leave room for those who completed preseason.
“Perhaps it was better to let those who did preseason with us play from the beginning, but I understand (Carlo) Ancelotti: it's difficult to leave out the big names.
“We beat Liverpool in a friendly by a wide margin, but I wouldn't want to give our fans any peace of mind.
“Our players must enter the field very angry, very focused, as if they were playing the game of the year.
“Every game must be the match of the year, only that way can our objectives be reached."
