Napoli intend to sign permanently on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.

The goalkeeper arrived on loan for €1m in mid-August with an option to buy for a further €3.5m - but only if he made 30 appearances this season.

However, La Repubblica says even if Ospina fails to reach the set mark, Napoli intend to take up his permanent option.

The Colombia international had been expected to fill in the gaps after new signing Alex Meret broke his arm in July, but has become a key figure.

Meret is still not fully recovered and is waiting to make his Napoli debut.
