Napoli fullback Faouzi Ghoulam was delighted to be back for victory over Frosinone.
The Algeria international hadn't played since tearing his ACL in November 2017, but started today's 4-0 Serie A victory over Frosinone and provided two assists for Arkadiusz Milik.
“It's a very important day for me, but even more important was to get the win. It wasn't easy to approach, as we have a crucial match coming up in the Champions League," Ghoulam, who also wore the captain's armband during the win, told Sky Sport Italia.
“Scoring an early goal helped to open things up, then we were feeling a little tired and not quite so fluid when Adam Ounas pulled this goal out of nowhere.
“The important thing for me was the team today. Don't forget it was also Alex Meret's first game for Napoli and it was great for him to debut with a clean sheet. Amin Younes also had his first appearance for the club, so hopefully we'll all be ready to play over the next few weeks."
