Napoli are eyeing Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen.

Sky Italia says Napoli are interested in signing Vertonghen if their star centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly moves on in January.

Vertonghen's contract expires at the end of the season and he is now free to speak to foreign clubs.

And Napoli see him as a potential replacement for Koulibaly, who may be sold due to the club's financial issues.

It emerged in Naples on Friday that Tottenham and Chelsea have been in contact with Koulibaly's agents regularly in recent weeks.
