Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli admits talks with Dries Mertens are continuing over a new deal.

Giuntoli was speaking before their triumphant Coppa Italia semifinal against Inter Milan on Saturday night.

While there's confidence of Mertens' commitment, as yet nothing has been settled says Giuntoli.

“I know the lawyers are working on it," he said.

"He wants to stay and we intend to keep him, so there's only one result that can come from that."
