Napoli defender Raul Albiol insists they've made progress this season under Carlo Ancelotti.

Albiol says they'll be stronger for their first season with the veteran coach.

“It's not entirely up to us. We know that the club is working to improve the squad, we've been together for a while now and the new players integrated from the first day," Albiol told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“It's a pity we didn't finish the campaign with a trophy, but in football anything can change from one year to the next. Now we'll prepare for next season.

“Only (Diego) Maradona, the best player in the world, managed to win the Scudetto here. Over the last eight years, the same club has won every time, which means the other 19 haven't won and therefore it's really difficult."
