Napoli were docked a point and handed a 3-0 defeat by default against Juventus for not appearing at Juventus stadium on October 4. Local authorities stopped the team from travelling after Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas tested positive for coronavirus.
"We didn't make the decision. I just said that in that moment it was better to go and play the game because it is a fact that Juventus are trying to do something new, it is true that we lacked important players like Zielinski and Elmas," Gattuso told Sky Italia.
“I said that already, we didn't decide. We were on the bus until five to seven and then we were told not to leave.
“I hope to play it again and that decisions will be reviewed."
