Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with matchwinner Lorenzo Insigne for victory over Fiorentina.
The win helped restore confidence after Napoli's thrashing by Sampdoria before the international break.
"We misplaced a few too many passes in the first half, but had the idea of putting players between the lines and getting vertical balls through," Ancelotti told Sky Sport Italia.
“We lost a little of our balance and ran a few too many risks, but that was necessary to get the victory.
“I don't think we were 'ill' after the defeat to Sampdoria. At most we had a slight cold…"
Insigne grabbed the winning goal at the Stadio San Paolo with an assist from substitute Arkadiusz Milik.
“Lorenzo did very well, he was coming off a period where he had been unable to fully express his qualities and today played in a slightly different role. I really liked his performance and thought he was Man of the Match.
“It's a squad with a lot of quality, but having a player like this in form is beneficial for everyone."
