Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed interest in Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier.

The England fullback is being linked with a summer move to Naples.

Ancelotti said, "Signing a top player gives a boost to the team and can be a bonus for the coach, and we are looking at a bringing in someone with these characteristics.

“Kieran Trippier played well with Tottenham the other night, but we are looking at many other players and it's not right to name names right now.

"However, Nicolò Barella isn't part of our plans."
