Napoli chief Cristiano Giuntoli has confirmed they're closing a deal for Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The midfielder has passed his medical and will join Napoli as a free agent from Rubin Kazan.

Giuntoli said: "Let's say he's a guy we've been following for some time, we'll try to do our best to bring him to Naples.

"There is still some time, we still have to wait. In the transfer market certain things have to mature and we hope they will mature in the right direction. He is one of the top players on the list, he has the right parameters to play for Napoli: technical, economic, physical and mental.

"We will certainly try to bring him to Naples."
