Napoli captain Marek Hamsik: We should treasure Pescara point

Napoli captain Marek Hamsik insists they can be happy with their point against Pescara.

The Azzurri drew 2-2 with the Serie A new boys on Sunday.

“We allowed Pescara too much room to play the way they wanted to with ball to feet," Hamsik told Mediaset Premium.

“In the first half we were too narrow and tense, but then we brought out our character. The League isn't going to be decided now. It would've been important to start well, we were unable to win, but we should treasure this point anyway."

Dries Mertens glared over at Coach Maurizio Sarri after his first goal, so is the Belgium international too good to be on the bench?

“We have wingers who can score double figures this season. Dries proved that today, in other games it'll be Lorenzo Insigne who does."
