Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne hailed the impact of coach Rino Gattuso after victory over Roma.

Jose Callejon and a Insigne curler proved decisive at the Stadio San Paolo, around a temporary Henrikh Mkhitaryan equaliser.

“It was a great performance, which we needed after the defeat to Atalanta in Bergamo. This was the right response and we must continue like this," Insigne told Sky Sport Italia.

“We know that we didn't do our best at the start of the season, but since the coach arrived we've been on the right track and so we're preparing to start from scratch next term with him.

“Aside from the system, the coach immediately made me feel important, put his faith in me, and we are all trying to help out both in attack and defence."
