Napoli captain Insigne delighted beating Sampdoria: We're finding consistency

Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne was delighted with Monday night's 4-2 win over Sampdoria.

Napoli were 2-0 ahead before Samp goals from Fabio Quagliarella volley and Manolo Gabbiadini penalty, but Diego Demme and Dries Mertens sealed things for the visitors late on.

“We are giving a sense of consistency to the work we're doing during the week. This was a victory for the group, because those who came off the bench made a big difference and this is the right team spirit," Insigne told Sky Sport Italia.

“Now that the players are coming back from injury, they can help us even more. We need to face every game with the grit of our coach and keep playing to win.

“It's true we are coming off three consecutive victories, but there's a lot more work to be done and we must remain concentrated. I think we can get the season back on track and have to make up for all the damage done earlier."
