Napoli, AC Milan attempting to hijack Liverpool pursuit of Zielinski

Liverpool face competition from Napoli and AC Milan in the race to sign Piotr Zielinski, according to reports.

Liverpool have been in the market to sign Zielinski for quite a while now but their £11.75million bid for the Polish midfielder was rejected by Udinese, while a similar offer from Napoli was peculiarly accepted.

Now in a further twist to the story, claims have been made that even AC Milan have joined in the race to sign Zielinski and Udinese sporting director Nereo Bonato stated that it is unclear as to whether the midfielder will end up this summer.

Bonato said: "Milan are interested in Zielinski. Yet aside from making enquiries in informal talks, they have not made any concrete offers.

"We have a formal agreement with Napoli but this deal cannot be completed because the player has not yet agreed personal terms with the club."
