Nantes owner Waldemar Kita wants to retire the No9 shirt to honour the memory of Emiliano Sala.

It was announced yesterday that Sala's body had been identified after being removed from the plane wreckage discovered by a private dive team.

Before he signed for Cardiff City, Sala wore the No9 shirt for Nantes.

And Kita said: "I do not have the words.

"It's a tragedy, I'm wiped out. Emiliano left his mark. That's why, like many fans, I want to honour him again by removing the number 9."
