Nantes centre-back Diego Carlos has agreed terms with Sevilla.

The 26-year-old Brazilian is expected to travel to Seville on Monday to have a medical and sign a five-year contract with the Andalusian side, says Marca.

He will be Monchi's first signing since returning as sporting director as he looks to rebuild the squad ahead of next season.

The centre-back, who was born in Sao Paulo, started his professional career in the Portuguese second tier during the 2014-15 season by playing for Porto's youth team.

Diego Carlos arrived at Nantes via Estoril in 2016 and he made 97 appearances in Ligue 1 during his three years in France.
