The striker is spending time on loan at QPR in the Championship this season.
He has nine goals so far this season, and is hoping that another Premier League team look at him for next term.
The 29-year-old wants to get back to the Premier League, even if it is through a permanent move to QPR, who would have to get promoted.
QPR are 10th in the Championship.
"I went into a Burnley side that was winning every week and the strikers in front of me were doing really well," he said in an interview with TalkSport.
"I felt that I was doing everything I could on the training ground but in the limited opportunities, it was very difficult to take one and I really didn't capitalise on that.
"I never really got that crack at the Premier League I thought I deserved. But the dream is not over, of course. I still feel I have the potential and the capabilities to get this club (QPR) up and still have a crack at the Premier League."
