Rumours of Celtic's Japanese star Shunsuke Nakamura returning home have been quashed by Celtic officials. Nakamura was reportedly going to join Yokohama Marinos in the January transfer window but his current club has come out and said he will remain at Celtic Park. Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell was adamant that the 31-year old would stay and told the Scotsman that the club was serious about retaining key players to win more silverware. "We are in the business of winning championships, not cashing in on players," Lawwell said. "It is our intention to strengthen our squad in January as we focus on retaining the title. That means Shunsuke Nakamura still being with us."
