Nacho Monreal has expressed his excitement ahead of Arsenal's pre-season tour of the Far East.

Arsenal are scheduled to travel to China this summer as part of their pre-season tour in July and the Gunners will be playing two games in Shanghai and Beijing.

Having never been to China previously, Monreal is excited at the prospect of travelling to the Far East and also stressed upon the importance of regaining match fitness during the tour.

Monreal told Arsenal Player: "I expect to enjoy China. I would like to have some free time to see the city, enjoy China in general and obviously train well, get fit and have good activities with our fans. It's going to be very important for us, the friendly games, but we will play and we will give our best.

"It's a bit complicated in this moment of the season because we start to train just 10 days before the game so we probably won't be 100 per cent fit. Obviously we want to win every single game and give a good show to the fans."
