Real Madrid defender Nacho admits the players are unhappy with the timing of the El Clasico against Barcelona.
There has been a debate over the kick off time for December's Clasico as Barcelona will go into the match on December 18 with 29 extra hours of rest compared to Real Madrid and Nacho has had his say on the matter.
"Any team would like to have the same amount of rest time as the opposition team," he said at a community event for diabetes.
"But we have a great enough squad to take on this match. We are really keen to play this game.
"We won't look for any excuses.
"We'd have liked the same rest, but we'll go to win."
James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale have been two of the main talking points around Real Madrid for several weeks and Nacho was asked about their commitment to Los Blancos.
"I won't doubt the professionalism of two players who have always given everything while wearing our shirt," he said. "If they've gone away with their national teams then it's because they're now able to play.
"We hope they don't get injured with their national teams and that they're 100 percent fit when back with us. Gareth is a strong person and it seems he'll be criticised by the press no matter what he does.
"You have to be very strong mentally in his situation.
"I'm not sure if he's being unfairly treated, but it seems he's always under the microscope no matter what.
"He has the support of his teammates and the coaching staff.
"I hope he has good matches with his country now and that he returns feeling at his best."
