NAC Breda coach Stijn Vreven admits Thierry Ambrose's season is over.

The on-loan Manchester City striker suffered a knee injury on Sunday against Willem II.

"This is tough for him. He's having a hard time with it," said Vreven.

"He had a good first year at the highest level, so it is painful for him to end up like that."

The coach added: "Manchester City now takes everything in its hands and determines what will happen. He will be doing his rehabilitation in Manchester, I will assume that."
