Naby Keita and Liverpool are set to split at the end of the season.
His contract expires at the end of the current season and Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg claims he is unlikely to sign a new one.
A number of clubs are said to be interested in his services with Germany looking a possible destination.
Keita joined the Reds from RB Leipzig for £48m in the summer of 2018 but has seen his role in the team dwindle.
He has made just two Premier League starts this season, largely due to a hamstring injury.
